Dan's Recent Appearances

Dan recently appeared at the Voter Fair at Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon IL on Jan. 17. Dan appeared with Rich Whitney our candidate for governor, and Terry Capmpbell, candidate our candidate for the 16th Congressional district. The weather was terrible as the fog ice (Whoever heard of that before?) in the morning. However, things picked up after lunch and at times there were as many as 50-60 people attending. All three candidates were able to get out the Green word.

A February 9th interview with WSDR 1240 AM radio host Tammy Neherkorn followed an afternoon spent with Roger K. Davis, 17th Congressional candidate in Prophetstown, IL to listen to the concerns of the union employees of Tyco Flow Control. Tyco Flow Control has a plant in Prophetstown, and even though this plant has the highest productivity rate than any other Tyco plant in the United States, the higher administration will shut the plant down.

Dan addressed a contingent of adults and students May 8th at the "Monitor with your Mother" event hosted by the "Friends of the Fox". Gary Swick invited Dan to speak at the event to describe the Green Party. The event included educational presentations about bottled water, pesticides, and other environemntal issues.

It was a good day at Elgin Green Expo. Dan was describing his 2020 Energy Plan to a visitor at the expo. The 2020 plan combines the Picken's Plan with a unique proposal of placing regional recharging stations for interchangeable electric vehicle batteries which makes the switch from fossil fuels to alternative energy practical.
